Welcome to Springfield Platteview TeamMates Mentoring

Springfield Platteview, with the support of valued community partners, proudly launched a TeamMates Mentoring Program chapter in 2025.

Founded in 1991 by Tom Osborne and Nancy Osborne, TeamMates Mentoring Program began with just 22 Husker football players mentoring middle school students in Lincoln, Nebraska. What started as a simple idea built on positive relationships has grown into a nationally recognized mentoring program impacting thousands of students.

Through weekly school-based meetings, mentors provide encouragement, connection, and support while helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and reach their full potential. We are proud to bring that opportunity to Springfield Platteview students and families!

“My mentor gives me someone to talk to and helps me believe in myself. I always look forward to the days we meet. Thank you for everything!”
