One-to-One Technology Initiative

Technology has injected itself into nearly every facet of American life. At SPCS, we strive to ensure our students develop the skills they need to be successful while in school and after they leave us to go to college or join the workforce. Our 1:1 technology initiative established in 2012 helps us do just that.

All students in grades K-12 receive an Apple iPad. Students in grades K-3 receive standard cases, and their devices stay at school in charging carts when not in use. Students in grades 4-12 are provided with an iPad case that includes an integrated keyboard, and they may take their devices home based on their school’s procedures.

Our teachers strive to excel at engaging their students by integrating technology in the classroom using the technology we provide. Participation in periodic professional development helps to enhance their skills and increase their own technical proficiency.

Welcome to Our New Website!

Thank you for visiting the newly redesigned Springfield Platteview Community Schools website! We’ve made several updates to improve your experience.

In the red menu bar, you’ll find a variety of navigation options. The “Full Menu” option provides a categorized list of all pages on our site, and a convenient search bar is located in the top-right corner of every page. The other items in the red menu bar feature our most frequently visited pages to help you access important information quickly.

Our goal is to make navigation as seamless as possible. However, we understand that what works for us may not work for everyone. If you have any feedback, notice an issue, or have suggestions for improvement, please don’t hesitate to reach out through the Contact Us page. Your input is invaluable in helping us create the best possible experience for our community.
