The Alumni & Friends Society is proud to facilitate an annual scholarship campaign, Growing Up & Giving Back, around the spring semester. This initiative aims to support our graduating seniors and celebrate the dedicated educators at Springfield Platteview Community Schools.
By contributing to our scholarship program, your support will directly impact the following:
- Five Scholarships for graduating PHS seniors, each worth $750
- One Teacher of the Year Award
- One Paraprofessional of the Year Award
To be considered for one of the scholarships, students will submit an essay entry by mid-April. Our Scholarship Committee will evaluate the submissions using a scoring system to determine the winners based on their essays.
Additionally, the Teacher of the Year and Paraprofessional of the Year awards are voted on by the SPCS staff and will be celebrated during the annual Employee Banquet. This recognition highlights the vital role educators play in shaping the future of our students.
This campaign is crucial for providing opportunities to deserving students at Platteview High School and honoring our exceptional educators. By participating, you’ll be investing in the futures of our youth and helping to strengthen our community.
