SPCS Celebrates Staff at Annual Employee Recognition Banquet
Springfield Platteview Community Schools hosted its annual Employee Recognition Banquet on April 8, bringing together current staff, retirees, and guests for an evening dedicated to celebrating the people who make SPCS shine.
The event highlighted the dedication, impact, and service of staff members across the district, recognizing both individual achievements and years of commitment to students and the community.
Honoring Excellence
Several individuals were recognized for their outstanding contributions:
- Outstanding Teacher: Michael Bos, Platteview High School
- Outstanding Classified Staff: Ruth Sierra, Westmont Elementary School
- Outstanding Community Contributor: Stacy Fahrenbruch, SAME Mentoring Program and Celebrate Safe
These honorees represent the excellence and passion that define SPCS and its commitment to student success. Springfield Platteview Alumni and Friends was honored to be part of this year’s Employee Recognition Banquet, celebrating the outstanding people of SPCS. Through two $500 awards, Alumni & Friends proudly recognizes the district’s Classified Staff Member of the Year and Teacher of the Year.


Recognizing Years of Service
The evening also celebrated staff members reaching milestone years of service, as well as two retirees who have made a lasting impact on the district:
- Retirees: Teresa Starks and Jacki Case


Their years of dedication and service have helped shape the SPCS community, leaving a legacy that will continue to benefit students and staff for years to come.
A Community Celebration
The banquet served as an opportunity to reflect on the collective impact of SPCS staff. From classrooms to support roles, each individual plays a vital part in creating a positive and successful learning environment for students.
