Attendance Matters
Even missing a small amount of school can add up quickly.
- Missing 2 days per month equals nearly 10% of the year
- Missing 18 days a year puts students at risk of falling behind
- Missing too much school leads to academic struggles
- Regular attendance supports graduation and future success
Student-Centered Support
We take a proactive, student-centered approach across schools.
- Building strong relationships with every student
- Creating welcoming, engaging classrooms
- Identifying concerns early and providing support
- Partnering with families to find solutions
- Recognizing growth and improvement
We understand that there are times when students need to be absent due to illness, family circumstances, or other important reasons. When that happens, taking care of your health and well-being comes first. Our goal is to support students and families while helping every student stay connected to learning as much as possible. If you or your student feel like you are falling behind, please reach out. You are not alone. We are here to help and support you every step of the way.
How We Support Attendance in Our Schools
Springfield Elementary School
Celebrating Strong Attendance
At Springfield Elementary, students are encouraged to build strong attendance habits through fun, classroom celebrations that recognize consistency and participation.
Classes have opportunities throughout the year to earn rewards such as special treats, extra recess, and shared celebrations when they demonstrate strong attendance.
These experiences help create excitement, build positive routines, and reinforce the importance of being at school each day.
As always, if a student is sick, they should stay home and take care of themselves.
