How We Support Your Family
When attendance becomes a challenge, our goal is not to assign blame. Our goal is to understand what is going on and help your child stay connected to school in a way that works.
Every student and every situation is different. Some challenges are temporary. Others take more time and support. No matter the situation, we are here to partner with you and find a path forward.
We want families to know that support is available, and that reaching out early can make a big difference.
What Support Can Look Like
Depending on your child’s needs, support may include:
- Check-ins with a teacher, counselor, or school staff member
- Support from a school counselor or social worker
- Help building routines or creating a plan for consistent attendance
- Academic planning or flexibility during difficult periods
- Problem-solving transportation challenges
- Support with peer or social concerns
- Connection to community resources if additional support is needed
Support is not one-size-fits-all. We work with families to find what is most helpful for their child.
How Support Begins
In most cases, support starts with a conversation. We encourage families to reach out to their child’s school when concerns begin, even if they are unsure what kind of help is needed.
From there, we can work together to better understand the situation and connect you with the right people and resources.
Our Commitment
When you reach out, you can expect:
- A listening-first approach
- Respect for your family’s situation
- Clear communication
- A focus on solutions, not punishment
We are here to support your child’s success, both in school and beyond.
