Oct. 28, 2025 —
Springfield Platteview Community Schools (SPCS) will hold its first Bond Committee Meeting on Monday, November 3, at 7:00 p.m. at Platteview High School (PHS). The meeting marks an important step in planning a potential 2026 school bond project designed to enhance safety and security, address facility needs, and support future growth.
Community members will be introduced to the project scope, design process, and district goals. Topics include planned additions and renovations, the proposed new elementary School, and potential updates to campus entrances and shared spaces.
The proposed 2026 Bond, scheduled for a mail-in ballot vote on February 10, 2026, focuses on three key priorities:
- Enhancing safety and security
- Addressing facility needs
- Supporting future growth
The district anticipates the proposed bond will result in a 0% tax levy increase.
