Springfield Platteview Community Schools uses several communication tools to keep families, staff, and community members informed. These updates may include school announcements, weather-related schedule changes, emergency notifications, district news, and other important information.

To make sure you do not miss important updates, please review the options below and take a moment to confirm that your contact information is current.

Sign Up for Text Alerts

Text alerts are one of the fastest ways to receive time-sensitive updates from SPCS, including weather-related schedule changes and other important notifications.

District Email Notifications

SPCS also shares important updates by email. Families should make sure their email address is current in the district’s student information system.

Because school messages are often sent to many families at once, some email providers may mistakenly send district emails to spam or junk folders.

If you are not receiving emails from SPCS, please check your spam or junk folder and add spcscomm@spcsne.org to your contacts or safe senders list.

SPCS Website Updates

The SPCS website is a central location for district updates, school news, weather announcements, and dated communication items.

Families are encouraged to visit the district website regularly and check official SPCS posts when looking for the most current information.

Social Media Updates

SPCS uses social media to share district highlights, reminders, photos, videos, and timely updates. Social media can be a helpful way to stay connected, but families should rely on official district text alerts, emails, and website updates for the most important information.

Local News Media

For weather-related closures, delays, or other major schedule changes, SPCS also alerts local news media outlets when appropriate.

Keep Your Contact Information Current

The best way to make sure you receive district notifications is to keep your phone number and email address updated with your child’s school.

If your phone number, email address, or family contact information changes, please contact your school office so your information can be updated.

Questions?

If you believe you are not receiving district alerts or notifications, please contact your school office for assistance, or SPCScomm@spcsne.org.
