How to Make Sure You Always Get Our Emails

Sometimes important messages from us may land in your spam or junk folder. This can happen because our sender email address (spcscomm@spcsne.org) is sent in bulk to many families at once, which email filters sometimes mistake for spam. You may want to do this with any important email address from the school district.

Here’s how to make sure you always get our messages:

Step 1: Check Your Spam or Junk Folder

  • Open your email inbox and look for a folder called Spam, Junk, or Bulk Mail.
  • If you see a message from spcscomm@spcsne.org in there, open it and click “Not Spam” or “Move to Inbox” (the wording may vary depending on your email provider).

Step 2: Add Us to Your Safe Senders List (Whitelist)

Gmail

  1. Open a message from spcscomm@spcsne.org.
Open a message from the sender you want to save as a contact in Gmail.
  2. Hover your cursor over the sender’s name at the top of the email.
  3. Select Add to Contacts icon on the pop-up pane.

  4. You can also go to Settings → See All Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses → Create a New Filter, then add our address and choose “Never send to Spam.”

Outlook / Hotmail

  1. Open a message from us.
  2. Right-click our email address and choose “Add to Safe Senders”.
  3. Or go to Settings → Mail → Junk Email, then add spcscomm@spcsne.org to your Safe Senders list.

More info can be found here: Add recipients to the Safe Senders List in Outlook

Yahoo Mail

  1. Open a message from us.
  2. Click the three dots, then select “Add Sender to Contacts.”
  3. You can also go to Settings → More Settings → Filters to ensure our messages always go to your inbox.

Step 3: Keep an Eye on Filters

If you use custom rules or filters in your email, make sure they’re not accidentally sending our emails to another folder.

Why This Matters:
Our emails contain important updates about school events, schedule changes, and emergency notifications. Adding spcscomm@spcsne.org to your contacts and safe senders list ensures you never miss critical information.

If you ever think you’re missing an email from us, check your spam/junk folder first and mark the message as “Not Spam.”
