SPRINGFIELD PLATTEVIEW COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
Special Education
We believe that every student is unique, and we are committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and empowering educational experience for all learners.
Springfield Platteview Community Schools (SPCS) provides services for students with disabilities from ages birth to 21 years, who reside within the SPCS district boundaries. We believe that every student is unique, and we are committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and empowering educational experience for all learners. Our Special Education Services are designed to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to high-quality education and the tools they need to succeed—both academically and personally.
We understand that each student has different strengths, challenges, and learning styles. That’s why our special education programs are individualized, with tailored supports and services designed to help each student thrive. From early childhood through high school, we work closely with families, educators, and specialists to create personalized education plans (IFSPs and IEPs) that focus on the student’s unique needs, goals, and aspirations.
We recognize that families are integral partners in the success of our students. We actively collaborate with parents, guardians, and caregivers to ensure that each student’s educational experience is personalized, positive, and productive. We prioritize open communication and provide families with resources, support, and guidance to help them navigate the special education process and advocate for their child’s needs.
If you have any questions regarding special education services available, contact your child’s teacher or building principal.
